FUE
微創植髮手術

FUE surgery is an abbreviation for Follicular Unit Extraction. It is a hair removal technology developed by Dr. William Rassman, an American hair transplant authority, in the mid-1990s; Later, by the end of the 20th century, treatment technology became increasingly mature and began to set off a craze in Europe and other Western countries, becoming the primary treatment method for hair loss patients at that time. FUE uses a 0.8 - 1.0mm diameter drill to remove hair follicles directly from the skin, either manually or fully automatically. Then transplant it to the desired location.

A. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
After injecting a small amount of local anesthetic, with the patient completely awake, a specially crafted small tool with a diameter of 1 mm or less is used to extract the hairs one by one from the donor area. After the extraction, the doctor will then transplant hairs in the needy areas. The implanted hairs will grow naturally and permanently, and no special care is needed for such hair. The small wound over the donor area will gradually recover and shrink, leaving very inconspicuous scars.

FUT
頭皮擷取式手術

FUT surgery is the abbreviation of Follicular Unit Transplantation。

Use a scalpel to cut a piece of scalp about 1 cm in width and 15 cm in length. The assistant will cut the piece of scalp into very tiny portions know as the follicular units which are then placed over the needy areas. The most unpredictable outcome for this surgery is the size of the scar, in experienced hands, the scar can be relatively small, but it also can be rather big and disgusting if the surgeon is not experienced enough or the patient is prone to scarring.
